Also known as the HURON CAROL, this hymn is commonly traced to Jean de Brebeuf, a 17th-century Jesuit priest and missionary who worked among the Canadian Huron people. This beautiful arrangement is elegantly simple and skillfully constructed; it can be performed with piano only or with the addition of flute and string bass for extra depth of sound.
