Pretty Saro | arr. Douglas E. Wagner

"I wish I were a dove and had wings and could fly; this night to my love's window...by the soft moonlight all night I would wait, and think of pretty Saro 'til the rosy dawn of day." This soulful Appalachian ballad was made famous by a Bob Dylan recording in the '70s. It is arranged in an easy-to-learn unison and two-part choral texture with an idiomatic piano part that enhances the vocal lines.
